We are pleased to announce that Tricoten WP has obtained phytosanitary registration in France under AMM number 2240516. This achievement adds to the recent registration obtained in the United States, strengthening our presence in key markets
Tricoten WP,, based on the exclusive strain Trichoderma atroviride AT10, is an effective tool for the biocontrol of fungal diseases, protecting various crops in a sustainable and safe manner.
One of the most outstanding advantages of Tricoten WP is its multimodal mechanism of action. Unlike traditional chemical fungicides, which typically focus on a single metabolic pathway of the pathogen, Tricoten WP acts through multiple pathways simultaneously. This greatly hinders the development of resistances in pathogens, as they would need to mutate at several critical points simultaneously, which is extremely unlikely.
Authorized Uses in France
With this registration, Tricoten WP is now available in France for the control of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum in lettuce, as well as Fusarium oxysporum in pepper, tomato, and eggplant crops. Its application via drip irrigation ensures uniform and efficient distribution of the product.
These crops and diseases authorized in the initial registration will be expanded soon, allowing its use in a wide spectrum of crops, pathogens, and applications to meet multiple needs of farmers.
Expansion to the Rest of the EU
France acts as the reference Member State in this case, and from today, other interested Member States in the southern zone of Europe will begin the necessary procedures to obtain their respective registrations soon, allowing the distribution of Tricoten WP in multiple areas of the European Union.
This is an exceptional achievement for ATENS, a pioneer and leader in the development and manufacturing of microorganisms, the result of our many years of commitment to research and development.
A significant step towards safer, more sustainable, and productive agriculture in Europe!
